Gannon University’s Technology Business Accelerator Award Winner Announced
MUNIO Self Defense was the winner of Gannon University's Technology Business Accelerator business pitch and went home with a $10,000 check, along with six months of residency, coaching and strategic mentoring.
UPMC Hamot, a leading healthcare facility in Pennsylvania, supports the safety of its employees with MUNIO
In fact, they partnered with MUNIO Self Defense to provide workshops for all UPMC Hamot employees. The one-hour workshop combines self-defense education and hands on practice using MUNIO.
“Our goal is to allow for all UPMC Hamot employees to attend these workshops,” said Kathy Danch, Honorary UPMC Hamot Aid Society member & Chair of the Medical Education Assistance fund, “We value the employees and the wonderful work they do each day. We want to empower them so they do not become victims of violent crime.”
UPMC Hamot Security Director Jerry Moryc, agreed that training can help keep employees safe, “We have employees working all shifts, so providing them with self-awareness and self-defense training is an added benefit for their safety and well-being. The UPMC Hamot Aid Society sponsorship is a generous contribution to our employees.”

TRU Women's Self Defense was featured in TaeKwonDo Times with her custom branded MUNIO. Her husband, Grandmaster John Pellegrini, also featured MUNIO in his article on "Force Multipliers" in BUDO International Magazine and custom branded a MUNIO for the International Combat Hapkido Federation. This dynamic martial arts couple continue to utilize MUNIO in their popular self defense seminars around the world.
